ummm....slackers?

it's been quite awhile since ade or i have written anything on this blog. (obviously...just call me captain obvious.) this abandoned blog. this sad, pathetic, abandoned blog.

i wasn't really planning on writing anything when i linked over, but then i just felt bad for the blog, so i had to post something. so here it goes...

a couple of months ago, a friend led me to one of the funniest websites out there. it is called the oatmeal. and i can't help but laugh when reading. and, as of today, i have two favorite posts over there.

one of my favorite posts is this one about misspelling words. at work, we have logs that we type up to share with co-workers what is going on with the youth we work with and such. i am constantly annoyed by misspelled words (and other grammatical errors). and i admit it...i edit other people's work. it makes me feel better. and smarter. is that bad? it shouldn't be...it's not that hard the spell correctly...it's called SPELL CHECK people. and the red squiggly line means, "you are wrong...spell that again."

and then this post about apostrophes always makes me smile. just the other night, a youth was brought to the youth center for a drug violation. in the officer's narrative, he wrote something about the kid having "drug's" and i about lost it. i try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but seriously...i just had to laugh.
