while we are on the subject.

since adriane shared a pet peeve, i am going to share my newest peeve. the reality of this peeve is that it only rears its ugly head on facebook. and there are only a select number of instances throughout any given day, but it makes my skin crawl and blood boil. and i want to mock every instance of this said peeve, but i have to remember to be kind. and it's my own fault because there are ways to avoid having to see all occurrences.

so, without further ado, here is my latest pet peeve:

it goes something like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...............does it make sense?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............................i wonder how long i can make myself do this.............................it is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............i want to punch myself in the face for doing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............seriously!!!!!!!!!!!!................know what i mean???????????????????????????

omigosh. yak. eek. gross. it is so ugly.

i use ellipses...often. they are to only consist of three...count them...THREE dots. not seventeen. and maybe i use them inappropriately, but i think that since i limit myself to the official three dots, i can use an ellipse whenever i want without being annoying...like this.

and further, your exclamation of mundane comments is completely unnecessary. and ridiculous.

and in reality, more than one question mark does not make the question more valid or more serious.

in closing, lay off the punctuation. please. or i'll "hide" you from my fb feed.

never mind, i already hid you.

but really, stop.

a peeve.

really? really? really. really.

you know how to say it. just like seth and amy did on weekend update. it was funny when they did it, right? but i feel like it has become such a huge part of american chatter lately. am i just noticing this, or has it been going on for a long time? i feel silly even bringing it up, but i had to. i beg of you, people, please stop! it's almost as bad as the "seriously? seriously." that grey's anatomy popularized years ago. holy crap, they even have it on a freaking t-shirt!

whew. i just took a deep breath. that's all i really had to say. and this:  please, make it stop.
